One of my oldest, and very favorite, slides. Shot some time in the late 80’s. I happened to be scouting new ways to shoot the Robert Moses Bridge (which connects Long Island to Fire Island) when I went down a road I’d never been down before. Seeing nothing, I turned around and saw this scene quickly go by my car window as I was heading back to the main road. To say that I almost drove into the ditch would be an understatement! Though I went back and photographed this scene many, many times, this one I took that first day is still my favorite. The owner of the bridge pulled it out and straightened it the next summer, never to be quite the same angle as this shot.
