Down The Path

Down the path behind my house I took this all night shot of the Constellation Orion “rising”. The stars in Orion move in almost a straight line across the sky, since they lie on the invisible plane of the earth’s equator, the “ecliptic” (if it were extended out into space). The stars at top curve towards the North Star, the stars at bottom towards the Southern Pole.
