I happened to take this shot at the very end of a long night of astrophotography. There was only a hint of daylight approaching when I decided to “call it a night”. This was maybe only a 60 or 90 second exposure (ISO 1600, Canon 20Da camera). If there were no clouds at the bottom, I might have actually tried working this shot into something sellable. I did rework it in Photoshop, though, throwing in a Milky Way shot I’d taken only hours before, and produced a photo I love looking at very much!
