A time lapse shot of the sun setting behind a lone tree at the boat basin at Hecksher State Park in East Islip, N.Y.  This entire sun setting sequence was done “in camera” with a sun “filter” I’d made out of  an exposed piece of 4x5 film. Exposures were every 5 minutes. This   photo was also used in a calendar put out by “Astronomy Magazine”.
